Your ID

All Featured Talent booked on commercials will be required to provide photo ID to complete Ministry of Justice background checks.

This enables the client who is paying big money for their commercial, to do a police check and be confident knowing that the new face of their expensive advertising campaign has a clean record.

To ensure smooth sailing after bookings so we are able to respond quickly to MOJ requests, please upload your Passport or NZ driver’s license (back and front) to the Documents section of your HeyCast (app.heycast.co).

  • It is helpful if you label the file before you upload so we can see at a glance what it is.
  • If you are able to combine both sides of your Drivers Licence photo Id into one file, that helps us tremendously as this is how casting want us to send the file to them.

Some of the larger Film Productions may also ask for ID to verify work eligibility.
If you are on any type of visa please upload this also, as we may need to provide proof of work eligibility to production for payment.

Talent on Student Visas must notify us this is your visa and provide a copy.  As those on Student Visas are only able to work up to 20hrs/week this means on the larger productions we can only book you for 1 day a week.  If you are working in other employment you must let us know so we don’t overbook you in any one week.  We can only book you for 1 day per week when standard shoot days are 10hrs to allow for overtime which cannot be known before the shoot day.

For more information be sure to join our Induction Webinar or our Casting Webinar for additional information around visas and work hours on set.
